Destination Cagliari: a wonderful sea view wedding

As many of you know by now, Italy is an increasingly popular destination for wedding planning from the south to the far north.

But today I would like to focus on a wonderful and still little known location: Cagliari.

When we talk about Sardinia, the Costa Smeralda, Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo immediately come to mind.

But there are many areas in Sardinia that are rich in their own beauty, with a vast cultural and environmental heritage… Cagliari is one of these areas.

Having been born and raised in this city, I could talk about it for hours and hours, but I will focus exclusively on the description of some areas to keep in mind to organize your unforgettable wedding.

Let’s start from the Castle of San Michele, a fortified building that rises on the homonymous hill of Cagliari, surrounded by a wonderful green park.

Dating back to the early medieval period, the castle is used as an art and culture centre and hosts countless weddings, and watching the sunset from up there is a unique emotion.

Ideal for those who want to give a medieval touch to their wedding.
Another pearl of Cagliari is certainly the Lazzaretto di S. Elia or the Lazzaretto di Cagliari, another historical building dating back to the seventeenth century.

The building is composed of a central cloister with a square plan, inserted in a luxuriant garden with a wonderful sea view.

And finally could not miss the promenade Poetto, the main beach of Cagliari, which extends for about seven kilometres.

Just think that you have the possibility to choose 11 different areas of the promenade to organize your wedding.

The place is undoubtedly romantic and during the ceremony you will be pampered by the gentle sound of the waves, by an incomparable view of the Sella del Diavolo and accompanied by the flight of pink flamingos.

And you have already chosen yours ?
