Intimate wedding on Isola dei Pescatori: a romantic ceremony in the church of San Vittore

Isola Superiore or Isola dei Pescatori is the only one of the three Borromean islands to be permanently populated by about fifty people. It is called “dei Pescatori” (fishermen’s island) because fishing is the main activity of its inhabitants, who still maintain this tradition.

The silence and peace that spring from everywhere are the ideal elements for an intimate wedding on Isola dei Pescatori. The square surrounded by narrow, winding alleys, the belvedere, the lakeside and the beautiful church of San Vittore. Imagine walking down these narrow streets in your white wedding dress, accompanied by bridesmaids and groomsmen to the intimate chapel

Surrounded by frescoes and its history dating back to the Middle Ages, surrounded by the warmth of your family and friends, you and your future husband will be able to say “Yes, I do!” in a wonderful romantic atmosphere.

After your intimate wedding ceremony on Isola dei Pescatori, you newlyweds and your guests can board a typical fishing boat. A unique and unforgettable occasion that will allow you to enjoy the magical atmosphere of the lake by stopping off on Isola Madre or Isola Bella. You will take photos and experience moments of pure magic among the splendid palaces and gardens of these islands.

Intimate wedding on Isola dei Pescatori: a simple reception

On an island where fishing is a tradition, there is no place in the restaurants for fish dishes.

The perfect venue for a wedding with a small number of guests could be a beautiful lakeside terrace, where thousands of lights will be reflected in the water at nightfall, adding to the enchanting atmosphere. Or why not opt for one of the simple, authentic restaurants dotted around the island? It would be a way to fully immerse yourself in the history and tradition of the Borromean Islands.
